How to use Twitter for Business

What is a simple yet effective marketing tool that allows you to update people on a 24/7 basis? What is this word “tweet” you keep hearing about in the news? It’s Twitter! The social media website that has become more popular then ever.

Sadly, many people do not know how use Twitter to it’s fullest potential and it’s not because they don’t know the value of it but because they don’t know what in the world to do with it once they create one!

Here at Shazzam-Media we pride ourselves in constantly pursuing knowledge about social media and love to share the information we find with you. In our Twitter Basics video we explain some of the more common applications used for people and small businesses who are new to Twitter.

As stated before, just simply creating a twitter account and posting a few things here or there will not do the trick. There are helpful applications out there that we teach you about in our Twitter Basics video that can help make your twitter account effective. Let’s take a look at a few...

Bit.ly is a website that is used to shorten URL links so when you tweet your URL doesn’t use up too much of your character space. Bit.ly also shows for each link that you create, how many times it has been clicked on. There is also an analyze portion that shows not only the amount of people that click on your links but where they are from, what their primary language is and the area of time they visit your links.

Future Tweets.com is an excellent site that allows you to create tweets to be sent out at certain times of the day. But, be aware, on Twitter if you tweet the same thing you can be reported for spam and have your account closed. So be sure to make each and every post just a little bit different from the other. Future Tweets lets you know if one tweet matches another.

TweetTranslate.com goes hand in hand with FutureTweets.com because when you write a tweet you cannot replicate it. But, if you go over to TweetTranslate.com you can replicate the tweet in another language that caters to your crowd of followers.

Using Twitter to gain awareness of your business is something that is going to take a little time but with some plenty of engagement you will begin to see the benefits!
